Method 1: PC
1. Close Fortnite and Epic Games Launcher
First things first, close both Fortnite and the Epic Games Launcher. Make sure they are completely shut down.
2. Confirm Closure from Task Manager
Open the Task Manager (you can press Ctrl + Shift + Esc or right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager). Look for any Fortnite or Epic Games processes and end them if they’re still running.
3. Locate Your Fortnite Installation Folder
Navigate to the directory where you installed Fortnite. Typically, this will be in the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder on your system drive.
4. Access the Cloud Folder
Inside the Fortnite installation folder, locate the Cloud subfolder. This folder contains important configuration files.
5. Delete BuildInfo.ini
In the Cloud folder, find a file named BuildInfo.ini. Delete this file. Don’t worry; it will be recreated when you launch the game again.
6. Launch Epic Games Launcher as Administrator
Right-click on the Epic Games Launcher shortcut and choose Run as administrator. This ensures that the launcher has the necessary permissions.
7. Verify Your Game Files
Open the Epic Games Launcher. Click on the three dots next to the Fortnite game title, then select Manage. From the dropdown menu, choose Verify. This will check and repair any corrupted files.
8. Launch Fortnite and Enjoy!

This happens when there are DNS problems with your Internet Service Provider. We suggest switching the DNS to another name server.
To Switch your DNS:
1. Press the PS button on your controller.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Go to setup internet connection.
4. Select WiFi or cable.
5. Select Custom.
6. Set IP address to Auto.
7. Set DHCP to Auto.
8. Write down the DNS settings in case you need to change back.
9. Set DNS to Manual and enter the following:

Primary 8.8.8.8

Secondary 8.8.4.4
-
Set MTU to Auto.

Make sure proxy is not being used.
